Dwight Vernon Nobles, Sr., age 65, of Sheffield, passed away September 30, 2023. Visitation will be Friday, October 6, at Williams Funeral Home from 1:00 – 3:00 pm with service immediately following.
Mr. Nobles is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Christine Nobles; wife, Donna Nobles; brother, Charles Nobles; and sister, Barbara Nobles.
He is survived by his children, Jason Nobles (Dionna McCrary); Dwight Nobles, Jr., Ashley Fountain, Jeremy Nobles (Lisa), Robin Fisher (Travis), Kimberly Harrison (Gary Fields), Johnny Harrison, and Natasha Churchwell. Additional survivors include siblings, David Nobles, Judy Richardson, Brenda Darnell, Sara Adams, Wanda Sue Nobles, and Joyce Staggs. Grandchildren include, Magan Rikard, Haley Fields, Gary Fields III, Jerry Lindsey, Kevin Lindsey, Hunter Lindsey, Adrian Biffle, Jordan Harrison, Jacey DeLuna, Makalie Parrish, Aly Fisher, Mia Fisher, Brandon Ables, Jonathan Nobles, Emilee Nobles, Adrian Walker, Nekia Crawford, Chiquita Crawford, Paisley Cartee, and Destiny Cartee; great-grandchildren, Madison Rikard, Charlie Rikard, Haygen Knighton, Jennifer DeLuna, Elliana DeLuna, Maxon Ables, and Davion Fuqua.
Mr. Nobles enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a big Dale Earnhart fan. He was a fan of drag and street racing and loved to race his cars that he and his friends would build. He also enjoyed watching Alabama Football.
The family would like to thank his favorite nurse at Mitchells Hollingsworth station three, and his son, Jason Nobles who took care of him till his final days. Thank you to the nurses and nursing home.
