A celebration of life ceremony for Dwight Orban Taylor, 84, will be held at Colbert Memorial on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., with a service immediately following at 5 p.m. Allen Jeffreys, Vance Henry and Brother Neil Carter will be speaking at at the service.
Mr. Taylor passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Taylor, son, Randall Taylor, parents, Henry and Viola Taylor, brothers, Loyce Taylor, Jimmie Taylor, Windell Taylor, Billy Taylor, and sisters, Nell Taylor, Freda Sutton.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Taylor, of Hatton, Alabama; grandsons, Jason Taylor (Tammy), of Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, Corey Richey (Danielle), of Killen, Alabama; granddaughter, Brittney Cochran, of Hatton, Alabama; and great-grandchildren, Kyle, Brianna, Cheyanne, Tristan and Kensliee.
Mr. Taylor was an Air Force veteran. He had worked at the TimesDaily newspaper where he later retired to pursue his passion as a photographer. He and his wife had a wedding photography studio, D and H Photography, for 20 years. Mr. Taylor was well known for his Christmas light display at Wolf Springs, which he thoroughly enjoyed working on. He loved joking and making everyone laugh. He and his wife loved playing music with their friends and having get-togethers at their home.
They had spent 62 wonderful years together on this earth and now they are together again in eternity.
