Sgt. 1st Class Dwight B. CooperDwight B. Cooper, at the age of 75, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at his home in the Brewer Community. He was born March 26, 1946, in Cleveland to Audie and Addis Bush Cooper. Dwight proudly served his country in the United States Army and also in the Army National Guard, making this his career for 32 years. After his discharge, he worked as a security guard and later worked at Reed Manufacturing where he was over the shipping department. Always active, Dwight loved being outside and on the water. He enjoyed riding his jet ski, boating and fishing.
Dwight leaves behind his two children, Scotty Cooper (Juliet) of Baldwyn and Sandy Dallas (William) of Guntown; five grandchildren, Ryan, Morgan, Samantha, J.J., and Gregory; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Cooper; and a sister, Martella Stults.
The family will honor Dwight’s memory with a Celebration of Life service at 11.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Jimmy Moore officiating. His service to our country was commemorated with full military honors.
Pallbearers are Ryan Cooper, Gregory Robinson, J.J. Robinson, and William Dallas.
