Durell Thomas was born May 19, 1950, to Joseph Thomas and Lillie Turner Thomas in Chickasaw County. He was a hard and faithful worker.
He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained until death.
He departed this life on Monday, June 17, 2019, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS, surrounded by the love of his family.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, two brothers, and four aunts. We will remember you, forever in out hearts sisters, Ruthie Thomas of Houlka, Charlean Allen (Abe) of Houlka, Earnestine Allen of Houlka, and Mildred Williams of Milwaukee, WI; one brother, Tim Thomas, Jr., of Houlka, one sister-in-law, Annie Thomas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
