Duffie May Griffith, age 88, of Florence, Alabama, died, Wednesday, August 5, 2015. The visitation will be Friday, August 7th from 11:00-1:00p.m. at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. The funeral will follow at 1:00p.m. Kenny Windsor will be officiating.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill Church and taught school at Central for 25 years.
She was a giver, had a servants heart, never complained, and did not want any attention drawn to herself. She was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Eddie Griffith; children, Jenny Lawler (Chuck), Cherie Broadfoot, Billy Griffith, Jeannie Creekmore (Ray), Andy Griffith, Missy Cupp and Becky Fuller (Darrell), and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Stephen Lawler, Tracy Rhodes, Ken Cupp, Karson Cupp, Chris Montgomery, and Devin Downing.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy McDonald, Rick Sharp, Al Hammond, John David Richardson, Terry Goins, Bryan Davis, Phil Everett, Josh Miles, and David House.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Pleasant Hill Building Fund.
