Duane Galster, age 58, of Smyrna, TN, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022. A native of Rockford, Illinois he was the son of the late Jerry and Evon McClure Galster.
A graveside service will be Friday at 9:00 a.m. in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pegram, TN with military honors.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ellie Bird Galster; children, Melisssa Smith and her husband Jeremy, Brittney Bolden and her husband Derek, and D.J. Galster and his wife Hayley; two grandchildren, Bryce and Kenley Bolden; sisters, Teresa Phelan and her husband Charles and Brenda Holladay and her husband Tony; nephew, Allen Phelan; nieces, Mandy Reed, Tabitha Sullivan and her husband Charles, and Miranda Holladay; along with much loving extended family.
Duane was a forklift operator with Store Opening Solutions in Murfreesboro. He was a proud veteran having served with the 1st Calvary in the United States Army. He was also an avid collector of hot wheels, building models, muscle cars, and watching a good movie. Duane was lovingly referred to as “Grumpy” by everyone that met him.

Visitation will be Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
