MORGAN COUNTY-The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and Drug Task Force have made several drug arrests since October 18 . The Morgan County Sheriff, Ana Franklin has issued this statement regarding several arrests:
“Friday, October 16, 2015, Agents with the Morgan County Drug Task Force and Deputies have been attempting to locate and arrest Bobby William Whitaker Jr. for the Unlawful Distribution of Heroin. Bobby Whitaker Jr. was at his residence located at 110 Lower Dry Creek Rd. in Lacey’s Spring where a female subject over dosed on Heroin, Bobby Whitaker Jr. fled from the scene. Subjects, Jessica Nichole Whitaker (w/f 23) and Terry Davis (w/m 41) were arrested for the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Heroin.
Deputies, on Sunday, October 18, 2015, were advised that Bobby Whitaker Jr. could be located at a residence on Lower Dry Creek Rd. When Deputy approached, Bobby Whitaker Jr. fled into wooded area. Agents were called to the residence where “ICE” Methamphetamine was located. Agent arrested Daniel Price (w/m 28 ) and Sarah Cross (w/f 36) for the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine.
On Thursday, October 22, 2015, Agents, with the Drug Task Force began executing Distribution warrants. Agents arrested Tammy Jones (w/f 51) and Tommy Caver (w/m 51) for the Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance- Prescription medication. Bonds for both subjects totaling $15,000.00.
On Thursday evening, October 22, 2015, Deputies received information of the whereabouts of Bobby Whitaker Jr. Deputies arrived at 996 Lower Dry Creek Rd. and made contact with Kevin Daniel Payne (w/m 23). Kevin Payne was found to be in possession of “ICE” Methamphetamine. Deputies entered the residence and located subjects Bobby Whitaker Jr. (w/m 38) and Jessica Nichole Whitaker (w/f 23). Bobby Whitaker Jr. was found to be in possession of “ICE” Methamphetamine on his person. Agents also located Cocaine that was hidden in bedroom where both Bobby and Jessica Whitaker were located. Bobby Whitaker and Jessica Whitaker were both arrested on 2 Counts Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine and Cocaine. Kevin Payne was arrested for the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine.
Both, Bobby and Jessica Whitaker have substantial bonds for their offenses and are pending to be revoked on other drug related offenses.
On Friday, October 23, 2015, Agents arrested Bilal Uz Zaman (w/m 28) for the Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana. Bilal Uz Zaman is currently in the Morgan County Jail pending Sentencing for Sodomy 1st Degree.
The Morgan County Drug Task Force will be executing more Distribution Warrants within the coming weeks, numerous arrests are forthcoming.”
