Drexal Timothy Holt, age 65 of Decherd, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Vanderbilt-Harton Medical Center in Tullahoma. A native of Franklin County, he was born in Sewanee on December 29, 1956. During his work career, Tim worked fifteen years for TWRA, five years for Franklin County Sherriff’s Department, five years for Estill Springs Police Department, and he currently owned and operated Tim Holt’s Garbage Removal. Tim was a devoted member of Cowan Church of Christ and was always witnessing to others, whether it was family or friends, and he put God first in his life followed by his family. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. But most of all, he cherished the time spent with his beloved family. He was full of life with a very big heart and never met a stranger. He is preceded in death by his father, Drexal Holt; brother, Scotty Holt; and grandson, Dakota Holt. Tim is survived by his loving wife of forty-four years, Angela Holt of Decherd; children, Chad Holt of Cowan, and Jason Holt of Decherd; grandchildren, Tristan, Ethan, Anna, Kenzie, Jonah, Ava, and Landon; great-grandson, Greyson; mother, Emma Holt of Cowan; siblings, Kenny (Melody) Holt of Winchester, Steve (Leanne) Holt of Decherd, Troy Holt of Winchester, Eric (Foresa) Holt of Winchester, and Stacy (Dovie) Holt of Cowan; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 29, 2022 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro.
