Drew Ryland Morse, 34, of Decatur Alabama, died Monday, July 21st, 2014 after a brief illness. Drew was born March 3, 1980 in Huntington, West Virginia, the son of Carrie and Doug Morse. He was married to Jamie (Vaughn) Morse.
Drew is survived by his wife Jamie, their daughter Denver, a stepson Lucas; his parents Carrie & Doug Morse of Decatur; paternal grandparents Ray & Dorothy Morse of Huntington West Virginia; brother Zane (Karen) Wyrick of Clermont Florida, sister Jennifer (Steve) Spurgeon of Marysville Ohio; nieces Katy, Samantha and Nena and nephews Jake and Jordan. Drew was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Margaret & Jack Howser.
Drew is an Eagle Scout and a graduate of Marshall University. He loved to hike and enjoy the outdoors. Drew was an avid mountain bicycler having won numerous races including being a two time winner in the 24 Hours of Canaan. He continued to ride up to his death.
Roselawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 24th, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. At a later date Drew will be returned to places he loved the most.
More than anything Drew loved his family and his many friends. He will be greatly missed.
