Doyle Wayne Jenkins – Obituary

DoyleDoyle Wayne Jenkins, 64 of Killen, Al, passed away October 13, 2013, after a brief illness. Mr. Jenkins was a machine operator at International Papers and attended Lone Cedar Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a paratrooper. Mr. Jenkins was an avid motorcyclist and a member of the Goldwing Road Riders since 1985 and also the Harley Riders.

 

Mr. Jenkins is survived by:

 

Wife: Donna Sue Stephenson Jenkins

 

Son: John Miller Lawson (Jordyn) of Killen

 

Brothers: Ed Jenkins – Nashville,Tn, Bobby Jenkins (Bonnie) of Florence, and Dennis Jenkins (Debbie) of Florence

Special Brother-in-law: Paul Eledge (Jeanette)

 

He was preceded in death by parents O.B. and Lorene Behel Jenkins and his beloved sister Doris Eledge.

 

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 17, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Thursday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel with Bro. Tim Grigsby officiating and a memorial by Gary Jenkins. Burial will be in the Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens with military honors.

 

 

Pallbearers will be Gary Jenkins, Greg Jenkins, Chris Newcomb, Scottie Harrison, Joey Harrison, L.J. Harrison, Corey Stephenson, Jimmy Ballard, and Craig Stephenson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Goldwing Road Riders and the Harley Riders.

 

 

The family would like to thank Center Star Fire Department and Rescue and the Shoals Ambulance Service.
