Doyle Pigg of Waynesboro was born August 1, 1948 in Wayne County, TN the son of the late Edd and Nancy Elizabeth (Bessie) Gillis Pigg. Mr. Pigg died Friday, October 9, 2015 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 67 Years, 2 Months, 8 Days. Doyle was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pigg was preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest, John, Olin, and Junior Pigg, two sisters, Ivey Pigg and Pearlean Kelly.
He is survived by two brothers, Joel Howard Pigg of Florence, AL and Leland Pigg of Waynesboro, TN, sister, Beulah Risner Mattox of Waynesboro, TN, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Services will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with John Heard officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery on Reatherford Creek Road near Lutts, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Waynesboro directing.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00-9:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
