Doyle Manuel Johnson was born October 27, 1937 in Pinson, TN the son of the late Willis Manuel and Maurine Taylor Johnson. He was united in marriage to Sandra Kay Bunch on October 21, 1967. Mrs. Johnson preceded him in death on June 20th 2003.
Mr. Johnson was a maintenance technician for Aqua Glass in Adamsville, Tennessee. He attended Oakland Baptist Church in Corinth, Mississippi. Some of his favorite pastimes were playing the guitar, watching western movies,fishing, water sking, flying, riding motorcycles, watching football, going to the Dinner Bell to eat catfish, helping in the church, and spending time with his family.
Mr. Johnson departed this life on February 12, 2015 in Guys, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 3 Months, 16 Days. He is survived by a daughter, Regina Dunaway of Guys, TN; two grandchildren, Amanda Brooke Johnson of Selmer, TN, Amber Louise Johnson of Selmer, TN; a brother, Kenneth Dewayne Johnson and wife Florence of Huntingdon, TN, a brother-in-law Gary Bunch; and a sister-in-law, Shelia Curtis.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a son, Joel Manuel Johnson, a son-in-law Robert Andrew Dunaway; a brother, Fredrick Johnson; and a sister, Phyllis Johnson.
Services were held on February 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Oakland Baptist Church in Corinth, Mississippi, with Bro. Randy Bostick officiating. Burial followed in the Shiloh Presbyterian Cemetery at McKenzie, Tennessee.
