ATHENS-We are thrilled to have the final phase of our beautiful downtown streetscape project
beginning. On August 4, the City of Athens will begin milling, grating and paving streets around
the Square. This final phase will improve the street surface, provide more handicaps parking
spots and clarify the lane positioning.
However, this will impact our final Fridays After Five planned for August 9. Given the potential
for uneven surfaces and construction hazards, we are cancelling our Food Trucks and Kids Zone
Activities. A number of our merchants and restaurants will still be open late with tons of great
specials!
Restaurants:
Lucia’s: $4.99 Margaritas
Terranova’s: Wine spritzers
Village Pizza: Pizza, salads, subs and wings
