Funeral service for Dovie Chambers Philpot, 76, of Cullman will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 14th, 2015 at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Simcoe Methodist Cemetery with Revs. Tony Thomas and Andy Coffey officiating.

Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Philpot passed away Monday, October 12th at her residence. She was born December 8, 1938 to parents, Horace Greeley and Minnie Alldredge Chambers. She worked for many years at several different jobs including King Edward Cigar Plant, the 7-11 Convenience Stores and CCCDD.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert L. Phillips; a daughter, Carolyn Diane Stewart and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Wendell C. Philpot; daughters, Melissa (Harold) Mosteller, Sabrina (Chris) Ryan; brother, Ottis (Johanna) Chambers; sisters, Virginia (Melvin) Johnson, Evelyn Banks, Edna (Jim) Steinceipher, Odena (Jimmy) Ashabranner; grandchildren, Paul (Christie) Derrick, Selena Derrick, Jamie Derrick, Jessica (Gary) Loyd, Janet (Brandon) Chambers, Justin Ryan, Daniel Ryan; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m.
