Douglas Wayne Riley, age 66 of Jasper, AL, born on January 9, 1957, passed away May 28, 2023 at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center.
Doug loved spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved watching his grandchildren play ball and compete in gymnastics. He also enjoyed spending time with his golf buddies Rod Harding, Sammy Smith and the late Monty Stockman.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Rev. Josh Mayes will officiate.
Mr. Riley was preceded in death by his Parents-John “Woodrow” and Pearl Riley; Brother-John W. Riley, Jr.; Sister-in-law-Linda Tubbs Riley; Sister-Gloria Jean Griffith; Parents-in-law-Odie and Gaynell Stockman; Brother-in-law-Monty Stockman.
He is survived by his Wife of what would have been 44 years, on June 1-Nina Stockman Riley of Jasper; Son-Jonathan Riley of Florida; Daughter-Kayla Tucker (Dalton) of Curry; Grandchildren-Hunter and Ava Riley, Eli and Riley Kate Tucker; Niece-Lori Riley Tyree (Shane); Great Niece-Anna Kate Tyree; Sisters-in-law-Nancy Stockman, Laraine Smith (Hayden) and Regena Johnsey (Phillip); Brothers-in-law-Tim Stockman (Susan) and Richard Stockman (Michele); Special Friends-Rod Harding and Sammy Smith.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Samaritan’s Purse or Mount Vernon Baptist Church Building Fund.
