Douglas McAuthur Cobb, 78 of Decatur, passed away on Monday, October 19th, 2020 at River City Rehab. Mr. Cobb was born on February 14th, 1942 to Hubert Walker Cobb and Myrtle Martin Cobb.
Funeral services for Mr. Cobb will be Thursday, October 22nd, 2020 at 11:00am at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Donald Terry and Marshall Norman officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00-11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cobb is survived by his wife, Judy Cobb; daughter Amy Matthews (Ryan) of Franklin, TN.; sons Jerry Cobb (Jennifer) of Decatur, Kenneth “Kenny” Cobb (Sandra) of Hartselle, and Jason Cobb (Felicia) of Decatur; grandchildren Kayla Cobb, Kyrsten Matthews, Macon Matthews, Sierra Cobb, Johnathan Cobb, Chandler Lewis, Matthew Lewis, and George Cobb; brothers Wayne Cobb of Fort Richie, FL., Danny Ray Cobb (Rositia) of Athens, and Hubert Cobb of Athens; and sisters Martha Blankenship of Pulaski, TN. and Brenda Chambers (Layne) of Athens.
Preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers.
He was a member of The Church of Christ. He was an avid fisherman and he loved Auburn football.
