Douglas Lee Bishop, 81, of Tuscumbia, AL passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024. Visitation will be Saturday, July 27, 2024 from 12-2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with a service to follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Kirk Bishop will be officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey Lee and Inez Bishop; wife of 52 years, Judy Bishop; brother, David Allen Bishop; infant brother, Paul Anthony Bishop.
Douglas is survived by his sons, Brian Bishop and Britt Bishop (Amy); brothers, Willis O’Neal Bishop and Bobby Bishop (Kathy); sister, Christine Henry; grandchildren, Caroline Sockwell (Tate) and Jacob Bishop; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Bishop, Tate Sockwell, Todd Martin, Brandon Bishop, Keith Bishop, Terry Bradford, Alex Willis, and Randall Henry. Honorary pallbearers will be Mel Sutton, Darrell Cobb, and Ronnie Latham.
