Douglas Esters Norwood, 68 of Athens, Alabama, passed away on October 14th, 2023, in his residence. He was born on February 24th, 1955, to parents Lilburn Norwood and Ruby Martin Norwood.
He is survived by his wife Annette Norwood; his son Steven Norwood (Shannon); grandchildren Ethan David Norwood (Madison), Dawson Elijah Norwood, Olivia Florence Norwood, and Addison Ruby Norwood; his brother Joel Norwood(Donna); and sisters Nelda Wooten & Norma Rogers(Kenny).
Mr. Norwood is preceded in death by his parents; his son David Norwood; sister Joann Smith; and brother Milas Norwood.
Visitation for Douglas will be Monday October 16th, 2023, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home from 12pm-1:30pm. Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Cemetery, with Donald Terry officiating, same day at 2pm.
