Mr. Doug Fultz, age 80, of Ashland passed away November 4, 2024 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. No services are planned at this time.
Doug was born and raised in Harlan County, Kentucky near Poor Forks, where he lived his early childhood and later moved to Chicago, Illinois. He had lived in several places across the eastern United States before settling in Clay County, Alabama in 1990. He was a “Jack of all Trades” but truly enjoyed running his local business “Botany Bay” and doing landscaping and spending time out of doors,taking care of his animals, chickens and guineas and his Dog “Lemon Pie”, He also enjoyed fishing when he could and listening to Celtic Music. Doug was member of the Unity Masonic lodge #95 in Memphis, Tenn.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborah Fultz of Ashland, two sons, Adam Fultz (Cindy) of Chicago, and Scott Fultz (Kathryn) of Wisconsin. Two grandchildren, Oliver and Gale, sisters Dianna and Sandra, brothers, Earl, Jack, Bob, Randy and Alan and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luther Fultz, mother Ruby Davis, and three brothers, Dallas, Jerry, and Clayton.
