Rickie Leath White – Arrested
WINSTON COUNTY – Ricky Leath White, 62, up until he was arrested for allegedly making some pornography with minors, was the technology teacher at Double Springs Middle School in Winston County. He was also a phys-ed teacher.
White, also charged with electronic solicitation of a child for immoral purposes, had been a full time teacher in Winston County until his retirement this past June. He was back at school this year as a contract employee. The contract was terminated directly after the arrest by Winston County’s Superintendent Greg Pendley.
The accused was taken into custody Wednesday evening by officers of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, and is presently in jail awaiting a bond hearing.
It has not been disclosed if the charges involve any Winston County school students.
