Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Dottie Sims will be 1pm Friday November 15,2024 at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Warren Jones officiating. Visitation will occur from 11am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Magnolia Gardens.
Dottie passed away November 12,2024 at her residence. She was born on August 3,1959 to the late Radie and Rachel Mitchell. Dottie was employed with Kiddie College Day Care and most recently with C&W Embroidery. Family was everything to Dottie and it can be known that she never met a stranger. Dottie enjoyed spending time with her friends drinking coffee, spending time with family and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren who were her world.
In addition to her parents, Dottie was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Mike Sims; son Shawn Sims; brothers, Johnny Mitchell and Keith Mitchell; and sister in law, Wanda Mitchell.
Dottie is survived by her daughter, Michelle Shelly (Sam); brothers, Lamar Mitchell (Annette), Bud Mitchell (Bonnie), and Jody Mitchell; sister-in-laws, Telesha Mitchell and Jolanda Mitchell; and grandchildren, Cole Shelly, Carter Shelly, Cade Shelly, and Tyler Sims.
Pallbearers will be Dottie’s nephews, Scotty Mitchell, Dusty Mitchell, Radie Mitchell, Carson Mitchell, Bobby Mitchell, Brandon Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, and Chad Mitchell
Honorary pallbearers include the ladies of Dottie’s coffee drinking club.
