Dot Hardin, 78 of Holly Pond, the New Home Community, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at her residence. Dot was born April 28, 1945, the daughter of Lee Maynard Hardin and Selestine Frances “Ted” Bennefield Hardin. Her father passed away when she was very young, and she was raised by her aunt and uncle: George Henry and Allie Bennefield. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant for the Arab Nursing Home.
She is survived by her sisters: Mary Jo Martin and Lucy Cook; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded by her parents: Lee and Ted Hardin, foster parents: Henry and Allie Bennefield, sister: Linda Carol Cox and a brother: George Lavon Hardin.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Gober Funeral Chapel. The burial will be in New Home Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
