Dossie E. Humphres, 51, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Red Bay, AL to Larry Ray and Dorothy Lewis Humphres. He was a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 11, 3:30 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bro. Josh Payne officiating. Burial will be in Old Friendship Cemetery, New Site, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by four children, Dossie Wayne Humphres, Bobbie Ann Odom (Bobby Wheelington), Clayton Ray Humphres and Payton Humphres; grandchildren, Ellie, Bubba and R.J.; his mother, Dorothy Humphres and two brothers, Jeff Humphres and Larry Humphres.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Humphres; his father, Larry Humphres; a grandbaby and his grandparents, Dossie and Elva Lewis and Elton and Hester Humphres.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Hammock, Johnny Poole, Kenny Poole, Cody Congdon, Jacob Thrasher and Chance Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be Bryson Pounds, Levi Pounds, Eli Hayden and Riley Hayden.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 10, 5-8 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
