Dorothy Wilks, age 84 of Albertville passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Shepherds Cove Hospice.
Her funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2024 at New Macedonia Baptist Church. She will lie in state at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 before the service. She will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. Bro. Lynn Sharpton, Bro. Tony Holcomb and Bro. Ken Gillilan will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Drew Wilks, Brody McGee, Hal Erwin, Jese Hubbard, Matt Johnson, Eric Thomas and Taylor Moffses.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday evening at Albertville Memorial Chapel from 5:00 until 7:00.
Mrs. Wilks is survived by her children; Cindy Garrett (Steve), Barry Wilks and Lesa McGee (Keith), grandchildren; Valerie Johnson (Matt), Alicia Thomas (Eric), Drew Wilks (Zoe), Olivia Erwin (Hal), Anna Moffses (Taylor), Abi Wilks, Brody McGee (Angelik) and McKenzi Hubbard (Jesse) and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister; Brenda Griffith, brothers; Larry Griffith (Gerry Lee) and Tommy Griffith (Cindy) and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Glenn Wilks, parents; J. B. and Lucille Griffith and her brother; J. T. Griffith.
