Dorothy W Holaway, age 94, of Gadsden, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 2:00pm at Collier-Butler Chapel.
Michael Woodall will officiate. Music will be Brother Tom Woodall.
Burial will follow at WIlliams-Southside Memorial Park.
Mom was a full-time homemaker raising 4 children all at the same time. She had to learn to make a nickel turn into a quarter. She was very adapt at this trick. Later in life she became a faithful employee at Morrow’s Nut House in the Gadsden Mall. She finished her working years at Busy Bee Grocery & Video making many friends. She was a rock!
She was preceded in death by her parents B.F. and Nola Woodall; brothers, Howard, Alton, Lendon, and Terry Woodall; Son, Stanley (Red) Holaway; father of her children W.W. Holaway; daughter-in-law, Francine Holaway; and best friend Bobbie Butler.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Ronnie Holaway; daughters, Diane Holaway Marshall, and Karen Davis (Hiram Stone); daughter-in-love Cindy Holaway Davis (Johnny) ; grandchildren, Amy, Staci, Emily, and Will; brothers, Tom (Shirley) Woodall, and Bruce (Pattye) Woodall; Sister-in-law, Faye Woodall; 11 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Honorary Pallbearers will be life long friend, Vernell Archer; staff at Amedysis Home Health & Hospice; staff at Gadsden Health & Rehab; sitters, Mary Bush & daughter Kim, and Patricia Carden.
In lieu of flowers memorials, the family request that donations be made to your favorite charity.
Please dress casual.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
