Dorothy Tresler Owens, age 85, of Huntsville passed away June 26, 2019.
She is survived by her children Sherry Owens of Nashville, TN, Crystal Bell of Tuscaloosa, AL, Gary Owens of Hazel Green, AL, Daryl Owens of Monrovia, AL, and Wanda Hanks of Harvest, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Thomas Owens II.
A native of Richmond, Virginia, she has been a resident of Huntsville since 1962. She is the grandmother of Lynda Gervaise, Edward Owens III, Nicole Owens, Shelby Glasgow, Cameron Glasgow, and Eric Owens. She is the great-grandmother of Katheryn Miller, Derrick (Ryan) Miller, Seth Owens, Athena Owens, Jasmine Owens, and Amanda Lowe. At the time of her passing, she was awaiting the birth of her first great-great-granddaughter, Rose Anne.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice Family Care (http://www.hospicefamilycare.org/home1.aspx) who gave her excellent care in her final days. Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
