Dorothy Trapp Taylor, age 87, of Russellville, passed away August 18, 2023 at Terrace Manor.
Dorothy was a Christian and member of First Baptist Church of Russellville. She was owner of Taylor’s Restaurant and made the best dressing and baked some of the best cakes in the south.
She is survived by her sons, Sammy Taylor (Cindy) of Muscle Shoals, Marty Taylor, of Russellville; granddaughter, Kerby Seay Smith (Shannon); great-grandchildren, Mary Hadley Smith, Hayden Smith, Scarlet Smith; son in law, Bob Seay; nephew, Greg Trapp (Donna); great nephew, Chris Trapp, Cory Trapp; great niece, Brittany Methukupally (Abhishek); great-great nephew, Carter Trapp.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her daughter, Scarlet Taylor Seay; parents, A.C. & Mary Trapp; brothers, A.R. Trapp, Harold Dean Trapp; sister, Sharron Trapp Sherrill.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 12noon until 2pm with the funeral following at 2pm in the Chapel of Pinkard Funeral Home of Russellville. Bro. Richard Parker will officiate. Interment will be in Union Hill Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to a cousin, Valerie Landers and special friend, Sandra Bianco for everything they did for Dorothy and our family. Also to the staff of Terrace Manor Nursing Home.
