Dorothy Sutton ConkleDorothy Sutton Conkle, a loving mother and grandmother, passed away Monday, October 23, 2023, at the age of 86. Dorothy was born December 31, 1936, the eldest child of William H. Saint and Zolar Hulsey Saint. She married Ray A. Sutton on September 9, 1953, and was married for 33 years at the time of his passing October 19, 1986. In the late 1990’s she married John Conkle and was married for 20 years at the time of his passing March 17, 2016. She spent her career working at the family business, Northgate Chevron, for 41 years. When visiting the store, you were always greeted with a smile. Customer service was always the top priority, treating each one like you would want to be treated. She always kept things in tip-top shape, even the bathroom had fresh flowers in a vase. She enjoyed the business, but more importantly she loved her family. She was a member of the Arab Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughters: Brenda Huckaby, Joan Andrews (Dennis), Vickie Miller (Stan) and Rhonda Hicks (Rodney); eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; stepsons: Brent Conkle (Sandra) and Brian Conkle (Tanya); host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Ray Sutton and John Conkle; son: Ray Sutton, Jr., grandson: Adam Coker; siblings: Billie Stapp, Kathern Daniel, Shirley Hodges, Wilburn Saint and Robert Saint.

Funeral Service was 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Brother Ken Tyler officiating. The burial was in Brookwood Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation was from 12:30 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Pallbearers: Michael Hill, Layne Hill, Brodye Hill, Andrew Hicks, Trent Coker and Russell Baugh.
