Dorothy Simpson passed from this life in Corinth, MS Wednesday, August 15, 2013 at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 9 days.

Born November 5, 1935 to the late Oneal and Viola Pipkin Howell, she was a life long resident of Hardeman County. Mrs. Simpson was employed by Kilgore Corporation for 40 years and was a member at New Hope Church of Christ. She loved spending time wither her family and grandchildren and was known by everyone as “Nanoo”.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Wanda Pannell and husband Troy, and Becky Drewery and husband Joey all of Walnut, MS; a son, Jackie Simpson and wife Debbie of Bolivar; 2 brothers James Oner Howell of Bethel Springs and Buster Howell of Middleton; 5 grandchildren Jennifer Ross and husband Brandon, Jessica Jackson and husband Jonathan, Clint Drewery, Becca and Hannah Simpson; 4 great-grandchildren Cody and Weston Ross, Zadie Jackson and Caleb Drewery; 1 step-grandchild, Ashley Hale and husband Michael; 2 step- great grandchildren, Abby and Michael Thomas Hale ; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Jubie McAlpin and Lucille Gravitt.
