Mrs. Dorothy Sharp McLain, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Dorothy was born May 29, 1933 in Skyline, AL. She was a kind and caring nurse for 40 years and retired from Guntersville Hospital. She enjoyed music, especially bluegrass music. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was generous, fun loving, loved to play cards, and had young outlook and loved to keep up with current styles and fashion.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Bro. John Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Skyline Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. until time of service on Friday.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Danny McLain (Donna), Tim McLain (Terry), and Sandra McCurley (Tim); 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and sister, Carolyn Paradise (Bonny).
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Todd; parents, Jodie and Beulah Sharp; brothers, Jodie Sharp, Jr. and Howard Ray Sharp; and sister, Linda Sue Parker.
