Dorothy Saving-Vaughn – Obituary

dorothyDorothy Saving-Vaughn, 68, of Hampton Cove, passed away Tuesday. Mrs. Saving-Vaughn received her bachelor’s degree and MBA from UNA. She enjoyed traveling, Bible study, book club, Bunko, Sunday school and time with family and friends. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. A dedicated, determined and head strong woman, Mrs. Saving-Vaughn lived her life for her family.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Russell Vaughn; son, Andrew Robert Saving, of Ooltewah, Tenn.; daughter, Kimberly Ann Saving-Sherman, of Douglasville, Ga.; grandsons, Michael Hunter Grimes and Robert Chase Saving, both of Ooltewah, Tenn.; and siblings, Joseph Thomas Gibbons Jr., Terrence Joseph Gibbons, Patricia Ann Koyro, Richard Terrence Gibbons and Jerome Richard Gibbons.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, with Dr. Rick Owen officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation for the Stroke Wing.
