Funeral for Dorothy Opheria McClure Hanvy, 82, of Moulton will be today, September 27, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend R.C. Borden officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hanvy died Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Lawrence Medical Center. She was born March 11, 1931, in Colbert County to the late Johnny McClure and Gertrude Canup McClure. She attended Full Gospel Holiness Tabernacle Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Hanvy; one son, Johnny Hanvy; and two sisters.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Hanvy and Darlene of Moulton; five daughters, Diane Gibson and Theo of Town Creek, Kathy Terry and Jeff, Judy Grimes and Mickey, Melody Reiser and Jimmy and Amy Mayes and Ronald, all of Moulton; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, J.W. McClure and Ann of Leighton; and special friend, Betty Chapman.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
