Dorothy Nell Akins, age 61 of Empire, passed away on Sunday July 15, 2018.
She was a homemaker and a member of Sipsey Church of God.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jeff Long will officiate. Burial will follow in New Horizon Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Courtney Anderson.
Survivors include her husband Eddie Akins; daughter, Angela Powers (Bruce); son, Mark Akins ( Barbie); grandchildren, Lathan Anderson, Morgan Miller (Christian), Tyler Nix and Matt Hayes; great grandchild, Winston Hayes; sister, Linda Creel and brother Andy Norris.
