Dorothy Maxine Causey Mrs. Dorothy Maxine Causey, age 90, of McMinnville, TN died Saturday, November 11, 2023 at NHC HealthCare in McMinnville, TN. She was born May 07, 1933, in Dardanelle, Arkansas. She attended Little Rock Jr. College, was a graduate of the Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, and worked as a nurse for over 40 years. Before moving to McMinnville, she was an active member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Garland, Texas for 48 years. While in McMinnville, she was a member of First Baptist Church.

 

She was a lover of people and she enjoyed having friends over for a meal and a good game of cards or dominoes. She was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Mavericks. She was excited to hear that the Texas Rangers won their first ever World Series. Her greatest joy was her seven grandchildren, and had she lived longer, her seven great grandchildren.

 

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents James Rile and Nancy Suggs Fitch, husband Leo “Charles” Causey, brothers Kermit Fitch, Lavelle Fitch, C.G. Fitch, Robert Fitch, and Nathan Fitch, and sisters Rutha Adams, Mona Pettit, Bitha Rogers, and Lydia Talbert. She is survived by her son Perry (Beverly) Causey, daughter Theresa (Bryan) Chastain, grandchildren Ryle (Paige) Chastain, Hunter (Maggie) Causey, Rachel (Wes) Rivera, Tucker (Brittany) Chastain, Abigail (Ben) Lybrand, Kayley Chastain, and Jessica Chastain, great grandchildren Elizabeth “James” Chastain, Stella VanderLaan, Georgia Chastain, Leo Rivera, Livy Chastain, Remi Lybrand, and Sonny Rivera, and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

 

No local services are planned. Burial will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Rockwall, Texas at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 18, 2023.
