Dorothy Marie Solomon, age 85 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Morning Pointe Senior Living in Tullahoma. She was born in Fayetteville on February 13, 1939, to the late Charles David and Bessie Jane (Harbin) Bradford. Before her retirement, Dorothy had been employed for over thirty years at Shaw Industries. In most recent years, she had been a devoted homemaker and enjoyed tending to her home as well as working in her flower gardens. Her most precious times were spent taking care of her beloved family and fixing them her “Best Chocolate Pies.” Dorothy will be remembered for a wonderful sense of humor and wittiness, her beautiful smile, and great sense of style. She was a dedicated member of Elk River Baptist Church in Estill Springs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by thirteen siblings; granddaughter, Kelsey Solomon; and great-granddaughter, Amelia Fandrich. Dorothy is survived by her loving children, Harry K. (Sandy) Solomon and Dana S. (Tony) Etheridge; grandchildren, Cassie (Patrick) McBride, Amber (Shawn) Carper, Lindsey (Tom) Wolf, Nolan (Brandy) Solomon, Vanessa (Jonathan) Fandrich, Whitney Etheridge, Jacob (Kristen) Floyd, and Revel Etheridge; fourteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Linda Reid, Peggy (Herb) Mann, and Cecil (Jenny) Bradford; several nieces and nephews; and special friend and caregiver, Jill Roberts. Visitation will be from 11am-1pm on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Duckworth officiating. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Nolan Solomon, Jacob Floyd, Revel Etheridge, Jonathan Fandrich, Dwight Duckworth, and Tony Etheridge serving as pallbearers.
