Dorothy Margaret Woody Bryant – Obituary

Dorothy Margaret Woody Bryant passed away on February 19, 2018. She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee, in an area once known as “The Fork” on July 6, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert D. and Grace Davidson Woody, and the granddaughter of the late Anna and G.W. Davidson.

She was united in marriage to Wilbert O. Falls and later to Dewitt T. Bryant, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Woody; two brothers, Floyd Woody and Billy Woody; one half brother, Raymond Woody; and a son-in-law, Franklin Ferrell.

Dorothy worked for 32 years at Angelica Manufacturing in Savannah. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, and reading. She also enjoyed gardening before becoming disabled.

She is survived by three daughters, Glenda Piazza and her husband Felix of Morris Chapel, Tennessee, Betty Falls of Savannah, Tennessee, and Shirley Ferrell and Bob McGonigal of Tullahoma, Tennessee; one brother, George Woody of Savannah, Tennessee; two grandsons, Jon Tracy Bolton of Savannah, Tennessee and Marty L. Bolton of Atoka, Tennessee; one great granddaughter, Chandler Bolton and one great grandson, William Addison Bolton, both of Atoka, Tennessee; one sister-in-law, Billie Jean Woody of California; plus many cherished friends and extended family.
