Dorothy L. Darby, 94, of Florence, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2024, at her residence. Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member of Petersville Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 6, 2024, from 1-2:00 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Officiating will be Larry Murdock and Adam Richardson.
She was preceded in death by parents, George and Myrtle Kelley; sons, Donnie Llewellyn and Dwight Llewellyn; brothers, Clint, Everett and Pete Kelley; husbands, Jim Llewellyn and Gene Darby.
Dorothy is survived by daughters-in-law, Teresa Llewellyn Barron and Donna Llewellyn; grandchildren, Brant Llewellyn (Erica), Justin Llewellyn (Ashlie), Alison Herndon, Karen Mustain (Joey), and Brian Llewellyn; and seven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Darby, Joey Mustain, Randy Riley, Marvin Whisenant, Lawrence Smith, Jr., and Charles Smith.
Honorary pallbearer is Rex Johnson.
The family wants to say a special thank you to sitters (her girls), Mollie, Tabitha, Roxie, and Martha. Also, thanks to Aveana Hospice, Samantha and Melina and Kelly, and to Aanna.
