Mrs. Dorothy K. Berry, age 95, of Guntersville, formally of the Red Hill community passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
Dorothy was the daughter of Sylvester and Camilla Kritner. She attended Summit school in Blount County. Dorothy graduated with a sixth-grade education and then worked on the farm with her family. The wife of one husband, Clarence Wade Berry, who she married in 1947. Mrs. Berry Retired from the Guntersville City school system where she enjoyed working with the lunchroom staff and feeding all the children.
She was a devote Christian and after retirement enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She was a great cook and the family always looked forward to her special recipe pound cake at reunions and gatherings.
She will be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Wade” Berry; parents, Sylvester “Vest” and Camilla “sis” Kritner along with three sisters and seven brothers.

Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Carr Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2024, with Bro. Ben Jones officiating at Carr Funeral Home. The burial will be Berry Brookshire Cemetery in Red Hill. Pallbearers, Jeff Clark, Brad Bodine, Jason Edmonds, Jerry Edmonds, Deven Edmonds, Drake Edmonds, honorary pallbearers, Wade Noles and Tony Kitchen, Ricky Glassco.
