Dorothy Juanita Evans Goff age 99, passed away January 10, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born September 16, 1922 in Alabama, the daughter of the late Gordon and Leudi Ganges Evans. She grew up in Alabama. She married Esbert ‘Eb’ Goff. They made their home in the Montezuma community after Mr. Goff returned from the service. They farmed in the Montezuma community and Mr. Goff worked for the State of TN Hwy Department. Mr. Goff died in 1989. She was a member of the Montezuma Methodist Church.
She enjoyed reading the Bible and gardening. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren.
Mrs. Goff is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Patterson of Henderson; five grandchildren, Greg Patterson (Teresa), Jeff Patterson (Renee), Sue Wells (Timmy), Johnny Patterson (Mary) and Joey Darnall (Krista); six great grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a daughter, Wilma Darnall.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 12th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Matthew Emison officiating. Burial will follow in Montezuma Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday.
