Dorothy Jean Hinkle age 80, of Athens, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at Limestone Health Facility. Mrs. Hinkle was born August 6, 1934, to Frazier and Gladys Sulcer.
The funeral service for Mrs. Hinkle will be Monday, September 15, 2014 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Carl Witty, Everett Conn and James Hinkle officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Hinkle; parents, Frazier and Gladys Sulcer.
Survivors include her son, Mickey Hinkle and wife Robyn of Franklin, TN; daughters, Sherry McElyea and husband Dale and Pasty Ennis and husband Jim, all of Athens; seven grandchildren, Holly Hargrove and husband Brandon, Cory McElyea and wife Sabrina, all of Athens, Michael Hinkle and wife Jill of Franklin, TN, Michelle Roberts and husband Brian of Knoxville, TN, Jessica Lynn and husband Brian of Harvest, Chad Ennis of Harvest and Meagan Ennis of Athens,; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Robert Sulcer and wife Barbara of Athens, and Alton Sulcer of Hartselle; two sisters, Bettye Cox and husband Maurice of Birmingham, and Judy Grisham of Toney.
Pallbearers will be Cory McElyea, Michael Hinkle, Chad Ennis, Ian Hargrove, Brandon Hargrove and Brian Lynn.
