Dorothy Irene Hall Phillips, 86 of Guntersville passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Phillips was a native of Madison County Alabama. She was a member of Guntersville First United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Henry R. Phillips; daughter-in-law, Doris Phillips, and four brothers, James E. Hall, Billy Hall, Charles Hall, Earl Hall and three sisters Elnore Henry, Lois Smith and Bobbie Dennie. She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Phillips Fleming (Scott) of Guntersville, Alabama, Karen Phillips Buie (George) of Guntersville, Alabama; son, Alan D. Phillips of Cullman, Alabama and five grandchildren, George Tracy Buie Jr., Chad Mitchell, Vanessa Vandergriff (Shane), Kevin Bynum (Tanya) and April Simmons (Chris) also ten great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral will be Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 12:00pm at Berryhill Funeral Home with Reverend Andrew Gregg and Reverend Chris Herbert officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope #2 Cemetery in Holly Pond, Alabama. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
