Dorothy Haltiwanger, 73, of Huntsville, passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Mrs. Haltiwanger loved her family and always enjoyed spending time with them at family cookouts and holidays. Christmas was her favorite holiday with her family; she always made it very special. She also loved to travel. She was retired from Chrysler. She is survived by her Very Special Friend JD Atchley; her children: Brenda Hutchins (Chris), Mike Haltiwanger, Karen James (Bill), Diane Oakley (Steve), Wanda Long (Ken), Angie Eakes (Charles), Terry Haltiwanger (Ann); 12 Grandchildren; 7 Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; Samuel and Ora Peters and her son; Gary Haltiwanger. Her services are scheduled for Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11:00 am at Hampton Cove Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rick Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Gurley City Cemetery. The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, on Thursday, October 23, 2014 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday.
