grannyDorothy “Granny” Morgan, 84, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at the Pioneer Hospital in Aberdeen after a lengthy illness. She was born April 9, 1931, in Booneville, the daughter of Custer E. and Hetty VonCannon Mink. She was the owner of Granny’s Restaurant in Tupelo and a member of Skyline Baptist Church. She loved taking care of folks and loved helping those in need.

Services will be 11 am Friday at the Lee Memorial Chapel with Bro. Castor Buse officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery, east of Booneville. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted of arrangements.

She is survived by 4 children, Robert V. Morgan Jr. (Doc) and wife Loraine of Aberdeen, Linda N. Vice (Elbert) of Vernon, AL, William E. Morgan (Cindy) of Idaho, and Dan E. Morgan of Mooreville; her brother, Bob Mink of Fresno, CA; a brother-in-law, Roger Morgan of Mooreville, a sister-in-law, Iris South of Memphis; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert V. Morgan, Sr., 2 brothers and 5 sisters.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Elbert Vice, Delbert Vice, Robert Von Morgan, III, Jeremy Morgan, William E. Morgan, Jr. and Christopher Morgan. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Harlow and Curtis Flower.

Visitation will be 5 – 8 Thursday at the funeral home.
