Dorothy Faye Luttrell, 82 of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on December 3, 2022. Mrs. Luttrell was born in Double Springs, Alabama on April 16, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Elaine Rice; brother, James Rice; sister-in-law, Imogene Rice.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Clyde Luttrell; two daughters, Melinda Eiane and husband Courtney, Renee Moore and husband Matt; grandchildren, Hailey King, Elaine (Lanie) Moore, Elsa Eiane, Hannah King, Thomas (Jack) King, Claire Eiane, Will Moore, Julia Eiane, Sadie King, Sophia King, Jewell King; brother, Ray Rice and wife Jeannine. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Faye was a lifelong member of the Nazarene Church where she sang in the choir, was a Sunday school teacher, oversaw the ladies ministry, was involved with bus ministry, and many other activities in the church. She spent many years volunteering in her community and children’s schools. Faye was a firecracker, never met a stranger and always loved talking and being with others! She loved entertaining at their home and always welcomed everybody. She had many hobbies. She loved quilting and canning with her mother, doing ceramics, baking, painting and sewing. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to many foreign countries. Her most favorite was watching college sports, especially Alabama football!
You may visit with the family on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00pm in Valhalla’s Celebration Chapel, with Rev. Byron W. Brown, Pastor and Rev. Dana S. Brown, Executive Pastor officiating. Musical arrangements are led by Wally and Ginger Laxson. Interment will immediately follow Services at Valhalla Memory Gardens in the Good Shepherd Garden.
