Funeral service for Dorothy Ellis, 77, will be Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Eva Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Ms. Ellis died on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Hospice Family Care. She was born November 10, 1944, in Lawrence County, to Mary Alice Strickland Minor.
She was an Owner and Operator of Ellis Embroidery in Falkville and was a member of the Falkville First Baptist Church prior to her passing. Dorothy loved to travel with her Silver Spirit friends and always enjoyed lunch with family and friends. She had traveled to almost all 50 states, loved to watch her grandkids play sports. She enjoyed flowers, gardening and reading and was the most loving mother and grandma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Rodney Ellis and a sister: Susan Smith
