Dorothy Elizabeth Riddle

Dorothy Elizabeth Riddle, affectionately known as “Fido,” passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 at the Longwood Nursing Facility in Booneville. She was 89 years old. A lifelong resident of Guntown, she was born August 8, 1933 to Cundiff and Eula Rowland Tyndall. Dorothy grew up on a farm and knew the value of hard work. She continued farming most of her life. For a short time she worked as a seamstress for a garment factory. Dorothy loved to sew and made beautiful quilts. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. Her family remembers her wonderful cooking and special meals they shared together. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Dorothy leaves behind two children, Wayne Riddle and his wife, Martha, of Guntown and Elizabeth Ann Riddle of Ripley; and her brother William Tyndall of Guntown.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services honoring Dorothy’s life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Saltillo Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Ray Morton officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at Pegues, Saltillo. Burial will be in Hodges Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Sam Smith, Coty Smith, Tyler White, Mark Sanders, Ethan White and Randy Price.
