Dorothy Elizabeth “Dot” Berzett Evans passed away Saturday afternoon, March 7, 2015 in Athens, Alabama.
Dot was born November 17, 1924 to Mary “Polly” Andrews and Charley Neal Berzett.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beth & Houston Elkins of Lafayette, LA and grandson Alex, nephew Andy Legg, his wife Mitzi and grand-nephew Wesley Legg. Nephew Carl Evans, nieces Connie Evans, Barbara Holiday, and Carolyn Roundtree.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Gilbert Curtis Evans, longtime druggist at Limestone Drug Company, sisters Patty Price, Mary Legg and Jean Berzett, and brothers Robert Berzett, Thomas Berzett and Edgar Berzett.
Country Club Acres residents will remember Dot walking her dogs in the neighborhood. She was a full time homemaker, an avid reader & loved decorating for the holidays.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday at 9:00 am March 10, 2015 at Roselawn Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Limestone Chapel will be in charge of arrangements.
