Dorothy “Dottie” Huber Soloman, age 93 of Winchester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Bailey Manor in Winchester. Dottie was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Essie (Penny) Huber, born on August 14, 1932, in Winchester. She was a 1949 graduate of Franklin County High School in Winchester. Dottie was in the first class to graduate in the high school that previously stood on Dinah Shore Boulevard. She was a faithful charter member of Riva Lake Baptist Church, until her health began to fail. Dottie retired from Arnold Engineering Development Center after forty years of service.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Edgar “Ed” Soloman; daughter, Brenda Garner; brothers, Jake Huber and Kenneth Huber. Dottie is survived by her stepson, Darrell (Regan) Soloman of Nashville; grandchildren, Lexie (Scot) Webster of Nashville and Imre Soloman of Nashville; sisters-in-law, Sally Fagg Huber of Tullahoma, Suzanne Bell Huber of Winchester, and Betty Gamble of Belvidere; nieces, Alice (Ray) Street of Smyrna; Debbie Van Fossen of Tullahoma; nephews, Scotty Huber of Winchester, and Brian Huber of Murfreesboro. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 12:00pm – 2:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with funeral service following at 2:00pm from the chapel.
