Dorothy (Dot) Bledsoe Strickland, of Huntsville, AL, died Wednesday, November 25th, 2020 at the age of 92. In her own words she ‘lived a blessed life and was so fortunate to have the love of her family and friends’. She previously lived in Memphis, TN, Sheffield, AL and Biloxi, MS. Prior to retirement, Dot worked in Personnel at Reynolds Metals Co. and as Personnel Manager at Listerhill Credit Union. She was an avid reader, an expert at working crossword puzzles and an animal lover. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her daughter, Karen; and her parents and siblings.
She is survived by her daughters, Gail S. Wick (m. Warren Wick) of Atlanta, GA, Lisa Strickland (m. Rodney Wells) of Huntsville; and her dog, Scout.
Donations in her memory may be made to an animal rescue organization of choice.
