Dorothy Doris Bivens McCullars, age 97, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Tuesday, June 09, 2020 at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, and a retired seamstress. She loved to dance, and spending time with family and friends was her favorite thing to do. Anyone who knew her knows she was a bright soul that could light up any room.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther D. and Beulah Hensley Bivens; her husband, Azalee Paul McCullars; one son, John Paul McCullars; and three brothers, Dalton Bivens, Jimmy Bivens and Luther Bivens, Jr.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Braswell (Larry) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Donnie McCullars (Linda) of Donelson, TN; seven grandchildren, Gene Hill (Dylilah) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Josh Braswell (Samantha) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Tony McCullars (Bonnie) of Anderson, AL, Sherry Harwell (Randy) of Loretto, TN; David McCullars (Jessica) of Donelson, TN, Paul McCullars (Julia) of Donelson, TN and Rachel Horrath (Mike) of Hermitage, TN; twelve great-grandchildren, Ella, Sadie, Jill, Josi, Natilia, Marek, Chloe, Abigale, Mikey, Tonya, Whitney, and Casey; and three great-great-grandchildren, Bryson, Kayle, and Camdon.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Private services will be held at a later date.
